Proven Success
Whether it involves raising the scores of a single class, making sense of standardized test data, or developing a curriculum for an entire school I have the experience to implement a successful program.

Growing up I was exposed early and often to science. Beginning at age seven I participated in science fairs every year through my twenty first birthday. I attended numerous science and nature camps away from home. Up until my second year at Purdue I thought that all students were given the same opportunities as me concerning science. When I visited a local high school to do a presentation about Bioinformatics at Purdue I realized that most students are not given amazing opportunities in science. Since then I have made it my mission to give all students the opportunity to experience science in a way that will engage and immerse them. In order to get in to teaching I joined the Teach for America program in Charlotte, NC. Through this program I took rigorous courses in education and leadership to earn a Teaching Certificate in North Carolina with a Highly Qualified Certification.
